Threads of Montana Depiction’s ever-expanding quilt barn trail in Missoula has 14 stops on it this vault, with more on the way in the summer.

Founder Kris Crawford and others in the history group have painted inimitable quilt patterns on buildings in the Target Range area and elsewhere. The principle, according to the group’s website, www.mthistory.us , is to guide homeowners in preserving old buildings by raising awareness of their value, “thus perpetuating 100 more years of navy to the community in giving old things new life.”
