The Birthright Quilt Stand out of New Jersey (HQPNJ) was organized in 1987 to gramophone record quilts made in or brought to New Jersey latest to 1951. Over 2,500 quilts were documented, particularly through a series of 32 Quilt Recognition Days conducted throughout the ceremonial from 1988 to 1991. Gen on additional quilts was obtained through correspondence submissions, surveys made at selected documented societies and museums, and the award of records from the Hunterdon County QuiltSearch Layout completed in 1999.
